The Diocese of Amarillo will begin its year-long
celebration of its Centennial with a 5:30 p.m. Mass
Fri., Dec. 5 at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 1200 South
Washington. Bishop Patrick J. Zurek will preside at
the Mass, with priests of the diocese concelebrating
and deacons assisting. This will be the only Mass celebrated
that day in the Diocese of Amarillo, The Kickoff Mass is the first
of numerous events and celebrations taking place throughout the
Diocese of Amarillo to mark its Centennial, culminating in a Mass
of Thanksgiving to celebrate the 100th anniversary on Sat.,
Aug. 22 at 10:00 a.m., also at St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Knights of Columbus Council 4621 will be hosting their
monthly breakfast Sun., Dec. 14. They will be serving continu-
ously from 8:00 a.m., to 1:00 p.m., in the Gym. Adults, $10,
Children 10 and under, $5. Proceeds benefit seminarians and
charities.
Young in Spirit: Young in Spirit (YIS) dinner will be Sun.
Dec. 14 at 4:00 p.m. in Msgr Tash Hall. YIS is a monthly dinner
gathering for St Thomas parishioners age 55+ whether you are
married, divorced, widowed or single – you are invited to
participate, and friends/guests are welcome. There is a $10
charge per person for a delicious meal, and a spiritual or
educational program may be available. Reservations are
required. No-shows will be required to pay for the dinner
cost as food is ordered based on headcount. Sign up for YIS
